The pilgrimage of the Our Lady of Fatima was initiated with the aim of promoting devotion to the rosary and fostering prayers for peace and an increase in priestly vocations. It was first organized by the Catholic Women's League - Archdiocese of Manila on May 13, 1976. Over the course of the pilgrimage, the statue of Our Lady visited all 155 units within the Archdiocese of Manila, concluding on October 13, 1977, with a grand procession attended by countless devotees.
Generous donations received during the visits to various units have been instrumental in supporting financially disadvantaged yet deserving seminarians. The Catholic Women's League - Archdiocese of Manila has been actively involved in assisting a significant number of seminarians at esteemed institutions such as San Carlos Seminary, Christ the King Seminary, and San Jose Seminary.
