DENR speeds up land titling procedures
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) National Capital Region, through the Licenses, Patents and Deeds Division (LPDD) and Surveys and Management Division (SMD), held an orientation on Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) and DENR Administrator Order No. 2019-08 for officials of Taguig City government on September 3, 2019.
RLTA is a strategy identified by DENR in support of accelerated land titling of the government. It aims to provide an accurate inventory of all the remaining untitled lands in the country.
DAO No. 2019-08, on the other hand, allows all Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENROs) and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENROs) to accept public land titling applications at the barangay level.
DENR Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr. and LPDD Division Chief, Atty. Alvin C. Constantino addressed the importance of the new policies in fulfilling the administration's goal of providing security of land tenure to deserving beneficiaries and encourage investments by addressing bottlenecks in land management and titling agencies.
