Taguig launches house-to-house anti-rabies vaccination
The Office of the City Veterinarian in Taguig is continuing its efforts to vaccinate household pets against rabies. The program involves house-to-house vaccination of dogs and cats in various barangays in the city. From May 3 to May 10, 2023, the team of veterinarians and animal health workers are conducting the anti-rabies vaccination drive in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The program aims to eradicate rabies in the city and ensure that every Taguig resident and their pets are safe and protected from the deadly disease. According to data, the program has already vaccinated over 15,500 household pets against rabies.
On the first day of the vaccination drive in Barangay Sta. Ana, a total of 301 pets received their anti-rabies shots. The team of veterinarians and animal health workers are expected to vaccinate hundreds more pets in the coming days.
This initiative is part of the local government's commitment to public health and safety. Mayor Lani Cayetano leads this campaign to ensure the health and safety of Taguig residents and their beloved pets.
