Taguig to offer free rides during transport strike
The City of Taguig, under the leadership of Mayor Lani Cayetano, has announced that they will provide free rides for commuters affected by the transport strike in Metro Manila and nearby provinces from March 6 to 12, 2023. The free rides will be available from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The city government will deploy several vehicles for the free rides with the following routes: Bagumbayan to Cayetano Boulevard corner General Luna (vice versa), Napindan/Tipas/Sta. Ana to Cayetano Blvd. corner General Luna (vice versa), Waterfun to Market-Market (vice versa), Waterfun to Gate-3 (vice versa), DOST to Market-Market (vice versa), BCDA Petron to Market-Market (vice versa), and Cayetano corner Gen. Luna to Petron BCDA.
All vehicles deployed by the city government will bear signage that says "Libreng Sakay hatid ng City of Taguig" and will have the official logos of the city.
The announcement advised the public to continue monitoring the I Love Taguig Facebook Page for updates and other announcements. This initiative aims to alleviate the inconvenience brought by the transport strike and to provide a convenient and safe transportation option for Taguig residents and commuters in the surrounding areas.
