Taguig takes part in Lands Anniversary with titling program
In celebration of Lands Anniversary, Taguig City took part in the annual event, emphasizing efficient land administration and public service. The Local Land Titling and Management Office (LLTMO) led the flag raising ceremony at City Hall grounds on Monday, September 25, marking the occasion.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Nationwide Handog Titulo Program, which provides free patents and Transfer Certificates of Titles (TCT) to Filipino residents who have occupied residential land for at least a decade. In this program, eight residents from Brgy. Katuparan received their TCTs, a significant step toward securing their land rights.
Mayor Lani Cayetano expressed her gratitude to LLTMO and expressed hope for more titles to be granted in the coming months. She stated, "As Christmas approaches, we anticipate that a larger number of titles will be granted through the efforts of our local government of Taguig. This is one of the essential programs my administration has been advocating since I became mayor. We are committed to assisting our fellow citizens in securing their land titles."
LLTMO Head Engr. Generoso Ignacio emphasized the importance of land registration and titling as proof of ownership. He reaffirmed LLTMO's commitment to programs aligned with Taguig's vision of being a Transformative, Lively, and Caring City. By providing land titles, the city aims to empower residents and ensure their property rights, contributing to the overall welfare and development of the community.
