Mayor Lani Cayetano and Councilor Raul Aquino Extend Centenarian Birthday Gift to 101-Year-Old Resident
In an ongoing effort to expand services to the EMBO (Eastern Metro Manila Barangay Offices) barangays, Mayor Lani Cayetano and Councilor Raul Aquino personally presented a centenarian birthday cash gift of P100,000 to 101-year-old Segundina Dela Cruz Laurente from Brgy. Cembo.
Through the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA Taguig), the city's centenarians, like Lola Segundina, continue to receive P100,000 in the following years as long as they are alive.
Seniors in Taguig receive birthday cash gifts ranging from P3,000 to P10,000, depending on their age bracket, as stipulated in City Ordinance No. 25, series of 2017.
Furthermore, Taguig offers a range of additional services for our beloved elders. These include the distribution of free medication for ailments like diabetes, high blood pressure, and asthma; free nursing services at their residences; and the provision of free wheelchairs, canes, and hearing aids, ensuring that their needs are met and their well-being is a priority for the city.
