Taguig City Celebrates ADHD Awareness Month with Inspiring Contests
Taguig City - In commemoration of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Month, the City of Taguig is gearing up to host three concurrent contests. These events aim to shine a spotlight on the remarkable success stories, unique strengths, and extraordinary capabilities of individuals with ADHD within the vibrant community.
For those interested in participating, here are the general guidelines to keep in mind:
To enter contests 1 and 3, participants must be individuals with ADHD registered with Taguig's Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO).
For contest 2, the loved ones being celebrated should be persons with ADHD registered with Taguig's PDAO.
Participants can choose to partake in only one of the three contests.
Entries can be submitted by commenting on the contest photo from November 2 to November 9, 2023.
Winners will be announced on November 10, 2023. To validate winning entries, winners should present their Person with Disability ID or any proof of registration with PDAO when claiming their prizes.

My ADHD Story Qualification: Person with ADHD registered with Taguig's PDAO Mechanics: Share a story about embracing the uniqueness of your mind and how you've turned it into a source of strength. The story must be your own, and authenticity is encouraged. Only one entry per person will be accepted, shared in the comment section along with your name and barangay.

Let's Break the ADHD Stigma Qualification: Relative or friend of a person with ADHD registered with Taguig's PDAO Mechanics: Post a photo of you with your loved ones with ADHD and share why you are proud of them, focusing on the strengths of having ADHD, such as creativity, empathy, high energy, and hyper-focus. You can submit a single or collage photo taken with the consent of your loved ones with ADHD. Only one entry per person will be accepted, shared in the comment section along with your name and barangay.

The Vibrant Mind Qualification: Person with ADHD registered with Taguig's PDAO Mechanics: Share a photo of your original artwork. Entries can be in any form (traditional or digital art) and using any medium (single media, mixed media, etc.). Only one entry per person will be accepted, submitted in the comment section along with your name and barangay.
These contests not only celebrate ADHD Awareness Month but also encourage participants to share their experiences and talents, fostering a deeper understanding of ADHD within the community and highlighting the unique abilities of individuals with ADHD.
